Some transactions involved forged authorizations.

The total exceeded eighteen million dollars.
But the most disturbing discovery involved the Moretti Family Trust.
Sarah's name appeared on documents she had never signed.
Her signature had been copied.
Her identity had been used to authorize transfers.
And if investigators followed the paperwork without examining the fraud, Sarah could appear responsible.
Daniel placed the documents in front of her.
“Sarah.”

“Someone was preparing to make you the scapegoat.”
