Chapter 7 - The Father’s Unbreakable Oath

At 8:00 AM, the grand council chamber of the Moretti estate was filled with thirty of the Syndicate’s most powerful commanders, captains, and legal counsels.

Matteo walked into the chamber dressed in an immaculate bespoke three-piece charcoal suit, radiating absolute, undisputed authority.

In his left arm, he carried three-year-old Lily. Beside him walked Clara, dressed in an elegant ivory wool gown, her chin held high, the color returning to her radiant face.

The room fell into stunned, respectful silence.

Matteo stepped up to the head of the long oak table, placing his heavy gold signet ring upon the polished wood.

“Captains of the Moretti family,” Matteo announced, his voice booming with absolute command. “This is Clara Vance-Moretti, my lawful wife and the supreme matriarch of this house. And this is Lily Moretti—my firstborn daughter, my sole heir, and the future owner of every asset, port, and contract under our control.”

The commanders rose to their feet as one, bowing their heads with profound loyalty.

“Furthermore,” Matteo continued, his voice dropping into cold steel, “Lucian Rossi introduced poison into our private sanctuary. He attempted to murder the mother of my child. Today, the Rossi Syndicate ceases to exist.”

He turned to his chief legal strategist, Douglas Vance. “Execute the federal financial seizures. Liquidate their commercial shell companies. Hand their shipping manifests to the Department of Justice.”

“And what of Lucian himself, Boss?” Marco asked, adjusting his tactical sidearm.

Matteo’s eyes flashed with lethal finality. “Bring him to the docks.”
