Chapter 4 - The Freezing of the Harrington Empire

While the police squad cars were dispatched, Harrison sat in his 40th-floor corner office at Cole, Sterling & Vance LLP in Center City Philadelphia.
Spread across his fifty-foot mahogany conference table were the financial records of Harrington Logistics Group and the Kensington Family Foundation.
For four years, Richard Harrington had operated under the delusion that his multi-million-dollar maritime shipping business was self-made. In truth, seventy percent of his commercial contracts, credit lines, and port licenses had been secured through Harrison Cole’s legal influence.
"Look at these forensic wire transfers," Julian Vance, Harrison’s senior partner, pointed out on the tablet. "Over the past six months, Richard Harrington and Vanessa Kensington have systematically funneled $8.4 million from Khloe’s personal family trust into an offshore holding company in Belize named Aegis Horizon."
"Why?" Harrison asked, his eyes darkening into flint.
"Khloe’s late mother left her a $20 million trust that was protected by a pre-marital ironclad clause," Julian explained. "Under the trust terms, if Khloe died without surviving biological issue, seventy-five percent of the liquid capital would default to her surviving spouse—Richard."
Harrison’s jaw clenched so tight the muscle twitched beneath his skin.
"They didn't just push her in an argument," Harrison whispered, his voice dropping into a register of absolute death. "They tried to murder my sister and her baby on the courthouse steps to execute a trust inheritance heist before the divorce was finalized."

Harrison picked up his gold fountain pen, signing four Emergency Ex-Parte Injunctions.
"Freeze every bank account, every asset, and every commercial lease tied to the Harrington and Kensington names across the United States. Leave them without a single cent for a bottle of water."
