Chapter 10 - A Sunlit Tomorrow (Happy Ending)One year later, the golden California sun dipped low over the horizon, casting a warm, amber glow across the wide stone terrace of Whitmore Manor.

The ocean breeze carried the sweet scent of blooming jasmine, grilled Pacific seafood, and the pure, unrestrained laughter of children.
Little Lucas, now sixteen months old, was taking fast, energetic steps across the soft green lawn, chasing a golden retriever puppy while giggling with boundless joy. Mia, now eight, was sitting near the stone balustrade, painting an elaborate watercolor of the sunset with her mother.
Elena had officially resumed her position as Chief Executive Officer of the newly rechristened Vance-Whitmore Global BioTech. Under her leadership, the company had launched groundbreaking non-invasive pediatric diagnostic tools, using her patented formulas to safeguard thousands of infants nationwide.
Adrian walked out onto the terrace carrying a tray of fresh iced lemonade and fresh fruit. He wore comfortable linen, his face no longer lined with the haunted grief of the past, but softened by genuine peace and deep devotion.
"Lemonade for the artists?" Adrian smiled warmly, handing a glass to Mia and setting the tray on the teak table.
"Thank you, Daddy!" Mia beamed, holding up her painting. "Look, Mom helped me get the ocean colors just right."
"It’s breathtaking, sweetheart," Adrian said softly, kissing the top of Mia’s head.
He turned toward Elena, his hazel eyes filled with profound love and reverent respect. He reached out and gently took her hand, his thumb tracing the faint scar along her wrist.
"Thank you for fighting your way back to us, Claire," Adrian whispered.
Elena smiled, leaning her head against his shoulder as the golden light wrapped around them.
"I will always find my way back to my family," Elena replied softly.
