Gabriel agreed to meet at a secure location arranged through attorneys.
When he entered the room, Dorian stood so quickly his chair fell backward.
For several seconds, neither brother moved.
Then Dorian crossed the room.
He pulled Gabriel into his arms.
The younger man began crying.
So did Dorian.
Alina watched from the doorway.
For years, she'd believed her husband incapable of showing weakness.
Now she saw him holding the brother he'd mourned.
Gabriel explained what happened.
He'd discovered Sebastian's financial crimes.
When he threatened to expose them, someone arranged an attack.
Gabriel escaped.
But he believed returning would put Dorian in danger.
He disappeared under a new identity.
Collected evidence.
And waited for a safe opportunity to return.
“Why now?” Dorian asked.
Gabriel looked toward Alina.
“Because Sebastian knows she's pregnant.”
Dorian's jaw tightened.
Gabriel continued.
“And because he's preparing to move the trust assets before the babies are born.”
Alina stepped forward.
“Then we stop him.”
Both brothers turned.
She looked at them.
“Legally.”
Dorian studied her.
Then nodded.
“Legally.”
