Chapter 3 - THE WOMAN WHO BUILT OTHER PEOPLE'S DREAMS

Ara had spent eleven years believing she was ordinary.

Not unsuccessful.

Not untalented.

Just ordinary.

She arranged events.

Managed difficult people.

Remembered details.

Fixed disasters before anyone noticed them.

Callum had always called her work decorative.

But Lucien had seen something else.

He'd first noticed her at the Prescott Foundation gala.

Six hundred guests.

A two-million-dollar fundraising target.

And a major donor threatening to leave after discovering his former business partner had been seated at the same table.

Ara had solved the problem in seven minutes.

Not by begging.

Not by flattering.

By listening.

Lucien had watched from across the room.

Later, he'd asked the foundation director who had managed the event.

“Ara Voss,” the director said.

“She's exceptional.”

Lucien remembered the name.

Three months later, when a confidential report involving Callum's company reached his desk, he recognized it.

May you like

Ara Voss.

And the more he investigated the suspicious transactions, the more he realized that the woman everyone dismissed might be the person most harmed by them.
