Chapter 9 - The Federal Gavel of Justice

Six months later, Courtroom 4B of the United States District Court in Boston was packed to capacity for the final sentencing hearing.
Ethan Cole, Brandon Hale, and Tyler Whitmore sat at the defense table, their heads hung low, their former arrogance completely extinguished by months in federal detention.
Judge Evelyn Wright delivered the sentences with thunderous authority:
Ethan Cole: Twelve years at FCI Ray Brook federal penitentiary, followed by $2.5 million in restitution.
Brandon Hale: Eight years at FCI Danbury, with permanent loss of all public trust eligibility.
Tyler Whitmore: Six years in federal custody, with five hundred hours of community service and full financial restitution.
The gavel came down with a resounding crack that sealed the nightmare forever.
