“What's that?”
He smiled.
“Something I made.”

He laughed.

Inside was a ring.

A small diamond set in platinum.
Naomi stared.
Damian took a breath.
“The contract ends next month.”
She nodded.
He continued.
“I don't want to renew it.”

Then he smiled.
“I want to replace it.”
