Chapter 7 - THE MISTRESS WHO KNEW TOO MUCH
Camila Brooks arrived at Dominic's office the following morning.
She was furious.
“You haven't answered my calls!”
Dominic sat behind his desk.
“Sit down.”
She stopped.
His voice was cold.
“Dominic?”
He placed a photograph on the desk.
Isabella Hart.
Camila stared.
Her expression changed.
Dominic noticed.
“You recognize her.”
Camila shook her head.
“No.”
He leaned forward.
“Don't lie to me.”
She swallowed.
“I've seen her picture.”
“Where?”
Camila looked toward the door.
Dominic waited.
Finally, she whispered:
“In Aldo's office.”
Silence.
Dominic's hands curled into fists.
Camila continued.
“He told me she was connected to an old family matter.”
Dominic stared.
“And what else?”
She hesitated.
“He said Elena was getting too close to the truth.”
