Chapter 7 - THE PHOTOGRAPH BENEATH THE FLOORBOARDS
Amelia had been carrying one secret even Lorenzo didn't know.
Before leaving Chicago, she'd taken a photograph from Sofia Moretti's phone.
A photograph of Daniel.
But there was something else in the image.
A window.
A rusted sign.
And a reflection in the glass.
Amelia had studied it for days.
Then she noticed the letters.
MILLER & SONS STORAGE.
She searched the name.
There were several locations.
One was in Pennsylvania.
Another in Ohio.
The third had closed years earlier.
It stood outside Joliet, Illinois.
Amelia called her attorney.
Then contacted the investigators handling Daniel's disappearance.
She forwarded the image.
Within hours, authorities began reviewing the location.
Amelia sat beside the motel window.
