Chapter 6 - THE TRAITOR AT LORENZO'S TABLE
Lorenzo returned to Chicago alone.
Amelia remained in Colorado with medical care and a lawyer she'd chosen.
He did not ask her to come with him.
Instead, he promised to investigate Daniel's disappearance through channels that wouldn't expose Amelia to further danger.
At Bianchi headquarters, Marco DeLuca met him in the conference room.
“Boss.”
Lorenzo placed a folder on the table.
“Who had access to the wedding security schedule?”
Marco frowned.
“Senior staff.”
“Names.”
Marco listed them.
Lorenzo listened.
Then stopped him.
“Antonio?”
Marco hesitated.
“Your uncle?”
“Yes.”
“He approved several changes.”
Lorenzo stared.
Antonio Bianchi had been his father's closest adviser.
A man Lorenzo had trusted since childhood.
Marco continued.
“He also requested temporary access for an outside security contractor.”
“Which contractor?”
Marco looked down.
“Vega Protective Services.”
Lorenzo closed his eyes.
The company had connections to Victor Moretti.
He looked at Marco.
“Preserve the records.”
Marco nodded.
“And the men?”
Lorenzo shook his head.
“No retaliation.”
Marco stared.
“Boss?”

“I want evidence. I want Daniel found alive. And I want the people responsible held accountable.”
