Chapter 10 - A Sunrise Over Sovereign Bay

One year after that stormy afternoon on the yacht, the morning sun rose over the sparkling blue waters of Sovereign Bay in Newport, casting warm amber light across the newly opened Rowan Maritime & Community Center.
The grand seaside terrace was filled with laughter, blooming white hydrangeas, and the smell of fresh coffee and pastries. Over three hundred guests—local fishermen, small business owners, scholarship students, and close friends—gathered to celebrate the center's first anniversary.
Under my sole direction as President, Vantage Capital had restructured the seized Richardson assets into an untouchable public trust. The private marina had been converted into a green-energy maritime training institute, and the Vance Community Endowment had provided over $15 million in zero-interest startup loans for young entrepreneurs and working-class families across the Northeast.
I stood near the cedar railing, wearing a simple linen dress, holding a ceramic mug of dark roast coffee, looking out over the open ocean.
Beside me walked Thomas Cole—a brilliant, humble naval engineer and our foundation’s chief operations officer—who looked at me with genuine warmth, honesty, and deep respect.
“The harbor looks beautiful today, Sienna,” Thomas smiled, leaning gently against the railing beside me.
“It looks honest, Thomas,” I replied, taking a slow sip of coffee and feeling a profound, unshakeable peace settle deep into my soul. “And that’s the only way it was ever meant to be.”

Down on the pier, the bell of the new training cutter chimed in the fresh salt breeze. The dark shadows of arrogance, the fake smiles, and the cold water of the past were gone forever.
Standing tall under the boundless golden sky, surrounded by honor, loyalty, and true purpose, I knew that my life and my empire were finally whole—and no one would ever take my ground again.
