Chapter 9 - THE BETRAYAL BEHIND THE PRIVATE DOOR
The investigation uncovered a criminal network.
Victor Hale had been using the Marigold Room to arrange illegal shipping transactions.
Ethan handled financial records.
And several business associates had been laundering money through shell companies.
The memory card contained evidence of their activities.
But the most shocking discovery concerned Jack Moretti.
Someone inside his organization had been authorizing shipments without his knowledge.
His longtime adviser.
Dominic Russo.
Dominic had worked for the Moretti family for twenty years.
He knew every business.
Every account.
Every secret.
Jack confronted him through his attorneys and investigators.
Dominic denied everything.
Then the financial records were presented.
His confidence collapsed.
