Chapter 7 - The Ambush at the Title Registry

While Julian was being processed in federal holding, Caleb and Marcus executed the secondary phase of the restitution plan.

Julian’s luxury condominium in Brickell—purchased with the embezzled insurance money—was seized under an expedited forfeiture lien. The $400,000 in escrow and the proceeds from the impounded Porsche were transferred directly into the newly established Leo, Maya & Lucas Vance Heritage Trust, managed under the independent stewardship of First National Bank.

At 2:00 PM, Caleb returned to the penthouse.

Olivia was sitting in the sunlit living room, holding Maya on her lap while Leo and Lucas played on a plush sheepskin rug at her feet.

George sat nearby in his favorite armchair, smiling warmly as he helped Leo stack soft foam building blocks.

When Caleb entered, Olivia stood up nervously, smoothing down her sweater. “Mr. Hart... is everything alright? Did my cousin find out where we are?”

Caleb walked across the room, stopping directly in front of her. He reached into his jacket and handed her a blue leather binder embossed with gold lettering.

“What is this?” Olivia asked, her hands trembling.

“Open it,” Caleb said softly.

Olivia opened the binder.

Inside lay the certified title deed to a beautiful four-bedroom garden home in Coral Gables, alongside a certified bank draft restoring 100% of the $2,000,000 insurance trust directly into an account under her sole name as legal guardian.

Olivia stared at the documents, her breath catching in her throat. She looked up at Caleb, her eyes wide with overwhelming, disbelieving shock.

“You... you recovered everything?” she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

“Every single dollar,” Caleb replied, a warm, genuine smile gracing his features. “Julian is facing fifteen to twenty years in federal prison. He will never touch your family again.”

Olivia dropped to her knees on the rug, burying her face in her hands, weeping with the pure, unburdened relief of a woman who had carried a mountain on her shoulders and finally reached the summit.

Caleb gently knelt beside her, placing a warm, strong hand over hers.

“You don't have to clean floors anymore, Olivia,” Caleb whispered. “Your fight is over.”
