Cora received anonymous messages.

Someone followed her after work.

A window at her apartment was broken.

Her attorney advised additional precautions.

Wesley arranged temporary accommodation through a secure, independent service.

Cora accepted.

But she refused to disappear.

She continued working with investigators.

Continued reviewing Daniel's records.

Continued telling the truth.

The records were preserved before they could be erased.

Cora stared at the documents.

Her hands trembled.

Then she saw a familiar date.

The day Daniel died.

A transfer had been authorized that same evening.

She looked at Wesley.

“This wasn't an accident.”

Wesley didn't answer immediately.

The evidence raised serious questions.

But it didn't yet prove what had happened.

He looked at her.

“We need to let the investigators establish the truth.”

Cora nodded.

Her eyes filled.

For three years, she'd wanted an answer.
