As the district attorney’s office prepared the criminal trial over the following weeks, private investigators hired by Ryan uncovered another shocking revelation.
Diane had not acted out of sudden frustration alone.
Forensic analysis of Diane’s phone records revealed continuous text exchanges with Ryan’s ex-wife, Brenda—a woman who had lost custody of Lily six years earlier due to severe substance abuse and neglect.
Brenda: "Is Ryan still wrapped around Emily's finger?"
Diane: "For now. But Emily is cracking under the baby's stress. Once I create enough chaos between them, Ryan will divorce her. I'll make sure Lily comes back to you, and we'll control Ryan's estate."
Brenda: "Make it happen, Diane. I want that child support money."
Diane had intentionally pushed Noah, hoping Emily would lash out violently in front of Ryan so she could paint Emily as an unstable, abusive mother in family court, triggering a divorce that would restore Diane's complete psychological control over her son.
