Rebecca Sloan arrived with our corporate counsel.
We spent three hours reviewing the ownership documents.
The shareholder agreement.
The operating contracts.
The executive compensation structure.
And the company credit-card statements.
Rebecca looked at me.
“You understand this isn't simply about your marriage.”
I nodded.
“I know.”
She continued.
“Any action against Ronan must follow the company's governance procedures.”
“Of course.”
“And we need to distinguish personal betrayal from misuse of corporate assets.”
I looked toward the receipts.
Hotel suites.
Jewelry.
Private dinners.
Travel.
All charged to Ellison House.
I took a breath.
“Then let's focus on what we can prove.”
