Julian completely lost his composure. He slammed his fists onto the table, his manicured facade shattering into vicious hysteria.
“You senile old fool!” Julian screamed, pointing a shaking finger at Arthur. “You’re handing an empire to street rats who were digging in your dirt yesterday! I built this logistics network! I earned this company!”
“You didn't build anything, Julian,” Arthur replied with icy calm. “You fed on the table my wife and I built with our bare hands, and you tried to murder my grandchildren through neglect.”
The boardroom double doors opened again.
Senior Detective Marcus Cole of the Cleveland Financial Crimes Task Force entered, accompanied by two armed sheriff deputies.
“Julian Whitmore,” Detective Cole announced, presenting an unsealed federal indictment. “You are under arrest for Grand Larceny, Interstate Wire Fraud, Forgery, and Child Endangerment Conspiracy.”
The two deputies stepped behind Julian, twisted his arms behind his back, and snapped heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.
Julian thrashed against their grip, weeping in humiliating panic as board members turned their backs in utter disgust. “Uncle Arthur, please! We are family! I made a mistake! Don't send me to prison!”
Arthur looked at his nephew with complete, unyielding detachment.
“Family does not starve children, Julian,” Arthur said. “Take him away.”

As Julian was dragged out of the executive suite, his expensive shoes squeaking against the polished marble floor, the entire boardroom rose to their feet in a thunderous, standing ovation for Arthur and his newly returned family.
