Chapter 6 - The Secret Vault in ZurichWith Serena’s cooperation and the Swiss account credentials, Samuel Price and federal auditors executed an emergency freeze through international banking channels within forty-eight hours.

When the vault data decrypted, we discovered the full scale of Julian’s betrayal.

Julian had not only stolen company capital; he had secretly drafted a contract to sell off Dad’s clean-energy logistics patents—the heart of Sterling CleanTech—to a foreign shell buyer for $12 million. The sale was scheduled to close that Friday.

Had Dad died without leaving legal firewalls, Julian would have pocketed the $12 million, bankrupting the company and leaving over three hundred warehouse and freight workers without pensions.

“Arthur knew every step Julian was planning,” Price said, reviewing the repatriation receipt. “Your father structured the CleanTech patents under an irrevocable trust that required dual biometric keys—his and yours. Julian’s contract was legally void from day one.”

“What about the buyer’s deposit?” I asked.

Price smiled thinly. “The buyer paid a non-refundable $2 million escrow deposit into the Zurich account. Under New York contract law, that $2 million is forfeited directly to the Sterling Trust as damages for unauthorized solicitation.”

That afternoon, I called a company-wide assembly in the main White Plains distribution center. Over three hundred drivers, mechanics, and logistics dispatchers gathered around the main loading dock, their faces tense with worry about layoffs.

I stood before them with a microphone, wearing Dad’s old work jacket.

“My father believed this company belonged to the people who built it with their sweat,” I announced. “Sterling Logistics is not closing. We are not selling. In fact, starting next month, every full-time employee will receive a 10% raise and a fully funded pension guarantee backed by the new CleanTech Trust.”

The entire warehouse erupted into thunderous cheers, tears, and standing ovations. The shadow that had hung over our family was finally giving way to light.
