Chapter 9 - THE TRIAL OF VITTORIO SORELLOVittorio Sorello was arrested after investigators assembled evidence connecting him to financial crimes, obstruction, and the historical warehouse attack.

Bianca faced separate charges related to her treatment of Nicole and her participation in efforts to conceal evidence.
The court proceedings were lengthy.
Vittorio denied responsibility.
Bianca blamed her father.
Other witnesses contradicted both of them.
The recovered surveillance footage became a central piece of evidence.
Margaret's notebook supported the financial trail.
And Nicole's testimony helped establish what happened inside the warehouse.
Dante sat beside me during the proceedings.
His hands were clenched.
I touched his arm.
"You're doing okay."
He shook his head.
"No."
I looked at him.
"Then just keep breathing."
When the verdicts were eventually delivered, Vittorio was convicted on multiple counts connected to the conspiracy.
Bianca was also held accountable for offenses established by the evidence.
Nicole cried.
Not from fear.
From relief.
Outside the courthouse, Dante looked toward the sky.
"It's over."
I shook my head gently.
"The trial is over."
He looked at me.
May you like
I smiled.
"The rest of your life is still waiting."
