Chapter 12 - THE WOMAN WHO CAME HOME

Six months later, Narelli returned to New York.
Not as Roman's secretary.
Not as someone who depended on his approval.
As the woman he loved.
She had built a successful career.
Made new friends.
Found confidence outside the Kinsley empire.
And Roman had continued changing.
He spent more time with his mother.
Less time in boardrooms.
He sold several companies tied to his old life.
And he began building something legitimate.
Something he could be proud of.
When Narelli arrived at his house, Roman opened the door himself.
She smiled.
“No staff?”
He laughed.
“I'm trying something new.”
“What?”
“Opening my own doors.”
She kissed him.
“Very impressive.”
He smiled.
“Wait until you see me cook.”
Narelli raised an eyebrow.
“You cook?”
“Badly.”
She laughed.
“Then we're ordering pizza.”
May you like
Roman took her hand.
“Perfect.”
