Chapter 7 - The Master Audio Uncovered

While federal agents mobilized across the city, Victor Blackwood was already in his private penthouse on the 68th floor of the Blackwood Tower, frantically stuffing bearer bonds and foreign passports into a leather duffel bag.
"The jet is fueled at Teterboro," Marcus said, sweating profusely through his shirt. "If we take the helicopter to the tarmac, we can clear international airspace before morning."
"That little brat ruined thirty years of work in five minutes!" Victor screamed, throwing a crystal decanter against the floor. "How did she know the third movement?! Elias was dead before he could play it for anyone!"
"She's his daughter, Victor," Marcus said, his voice trembling. "She was in the room when he composed it."
Suddenly, the private elevator chimed.
The heavy brushed-steel doors slid open.
Ten heavily armed FBI SWAT operators in tactical body armor poured into the penthouse, their laser sights painting bright green and red crosshairs across Victor’s chest and forehead.
"Federal Bureau of Investigation! Drop the bags and get on the floor! Now!"
Marcus dropped to his knees instantly, raising his hands into the air.
Victor stood frozen, his eyes wild with fury. "This is private property! Do you know who I am?! I own the largest media conglomerate in the country!"
Special Agent Robert Vance stepped through the elevator doors, holding up the signed federal warrant.
"Victor Blackwood, Marcus Kane," Vance announced. "You are under arrest for First-Degree Murder, Murder-for-Hire Conspiracy, Grand Larceny, Wire Fraud, and Federal Racketeering."

Two tactical officers tackled Victor to the marble floor, forcing his arms behind his back and snapping heavy steel handcuffs over his wrists.
As Victor was dragged toward the private elevator, his arrogant mask completely shattered, shrieking threats and curses into the empty corridor while the media helicopters circled the glass tower outside.
