The cold steel cuffs snapped shut around Mason’s wrists as two naval agents pinned him face-down onto his own luggage trolley.
"Hey! Get your hands off me!" Mason screamed in hysterical panic. "I didn't do anything! My dad is a retired Marine!"

Chloe began hyperventilating, backing into the glass wall, sobbing as female deputies locked iron cuffs around her wrists: "Mom! You told us it was legal! You told us Maya gave us permission to use the account!"
"Shut up, Chloe!" Evelyn screamed, thrashing against two NCIS agents as her designer hat fell to the floorboards. "This is a domestic misunderstanding! Where is Victor?! Victor would never allow you to treat his wife this way!"

Evelyn stopped breathing. Every single drop of blood drained from her face until she looked like unpainted plaster.
"M... Maya...?" Evelyn stammered, her voice cracking into a high, pathetic squeak.
