Chapter 13 - THE FALL OF THE CROWE EMPIRE

The legal proceedings concluded the following year.

Ethan and Madeline faced convictions related to the financial scheme.

The assault case resulted in separate consequences.

Crowe Hospitality suffered severe reputational and financial damage.

Malcolm Crowe stepped down from several leadership positions.

The company entered a restructuring process.

Claire recovered the diverted funds through legal proceedings and settlements.

C.W. Atelier survived.

More than survived.

It grew.

The company expanded into three new markets.

Hired additional employees.

And won the Vale Meridian hotel reopening contract after a competitive bidding process.

Claire stood in the newly restored hotel's ballroom on opening night.

The chandeliers sparkled.

The orchestra played.

Guests laughed.

And for the first time, she wasn't afraid of a room filled with powerful people.

Roman approached.

“You did it.”

Claire smiled.

“We did.”

He shook his head.

“No.”

She looked at him.

“You did.”

Her eyes filled.

He continued.

“Your team. Your vision. Your company.”

Claire laughed softly.

“Fine.”

Roman smiled.

“I'll accept partial credit for being an enthusiastic guest.”

She grinned.

“Very enthusiastic.”

He offered his hand.

“Dance?”

Claire looked at him.

Then smiled.

May you like

“Yes.”

And beneath the chandeliers, she danced with a man who never once made her feel small.
