Chapter 4 - The Austin Property Ledger

I opened my encrypted cloud drive and transmitted the digital folios directly to Harrison’s firm:
The General Warranty Deed: Recorded with the Travis County Clerk’s Office, confirming Natalie Miller as the 100% sole owner of 442 Canyon Vista Way.
The Purchase Manifest: Proof of wire transfer showing $600,000 paid in full from my overseas engineering account in 2024, with zero liens, zero mortgages, and zero co-signers.
The Financial Intercepts: Bank statements showing $72,000 wired to my mother’s account over twenty-four months, cross-referenced with debit card transactions originating from Julian’s golf club memberships, Khloe’s luxury spa visits, and high-end restaurants.
The Utility Registrations: Water, gas, high-speed fiber, and electric meters—all registered solely under my legal name.
At 7:15 PM, Harrison called back.
“Natalie,” Harrison said, his voice laced with the cold precision of a veteran litigator. “Chief Magistrate Judge Eleanor Sterling has reviewed the sworn affidavits and banking forensics. Because your mother is sixty-two and was subjected to forced domestic labor and financial coercion, this crosses from a civil eviction into felony financial exploitation of the elderly under Texas Penal Code § 32.53.”

“What does that mean for tonight, Harrison?” I asked.
“It means Travis County Sheriff Marcus Stone has signed an emergency Writ of Immediate Possession and Restraining Injunction,” Harrison replied. “We don’t need thirty days. We need thirty seconds. Be at the curb at nine o'clock.”
