A massive house on fire raged just beyond the grand entrance, with thick smoke billowing darkly into the background.
Flames roared through the expensive wood framing, accompanied by the loud crackling of burning timber and a high-tension cinematic string swell.
A terrified fair-skinned female housemaid stood amidst the ash, wearing a pink maid outfit covered in soot and smudge marks.
She cradled a young Caucasian boy in a pristine white suit tightly against her chest.
Clara: “Stay close to me, little one. We are almost out of this nightmare.”
Leo: “Clara...”
He coughed violently.
“It was so hot in my room.”
Clara: “I know, sweetheart, but I have you now. Nobody is going to hurt you.”
A distinguished Caucasian man and woman in formal attire stood near the courtyard entrance, looking on in absolute shock and panic.
They had assumed the boy was trapped beyond rescue in the east wing of the estate trust property.
Arthur: “How did she get back inside that burning wing? The roof was already collapsing!”
Victoria: “She's a common servant! She had no business risking her life for the heir!”
Arthur turned on her.
Arthur: “She saved our son, Victoria! Look at him!”
Heavy emotional breathing escaped Clara's lips as a tense ambient drone vibrated through the scorched air.
Tears streamed down her smudged face, cutting clean tracks through the black soot as she looked down at the child with a profound mix of distress and overwhelming relief.
