Chapter 8 - The Boardroom and the Stolen Trust

On Monday morning at 9:00 AM, the extraordinary executive boardroom assembly of Vance Global Holdings was convened in downtown Washington D.C.

The thirty institutional directors, senior trustees, and private equity partners sat in breathless silence around the sixty-foot mahogany conference table.

Daniel walked into the room dressed in a tailored midnight-navy power suit, his posture straight, commanding, and radiating untouchable authority.

Beside him walked Julian Hayes, carrying the certified chancery discovery decree.

“Gentlemen,” Daniel announced, his deep baritone filling the vaulted room with effortless precision. “Pursuant to the emergency judicial asset freeze, all spousal voting proxies, corporate board seats, and foundation equities formerly claimed by Vivienne Sterling are officially declared null, void, and criminally fraudulent ab initio.”

Julian presented the authenticated court orders:

Complete 100% recovery of the $1.2 million siphoned from Sophie’s trust fund, seized from the liquidation of Margaret Sterling’s Virginia estate.

Immediate, irrevocable dissolution of the marriage on the grounds of felony domestic cruelty.

The restructuring of the company’s philanthropic wing into The Sophie Vance Foundation for Pediatric Pulmonary Health & Child Protection.

The board members rose to their feet in a unanimous, standing ovation.

Daniel looked out the panoramic glass window toward the blue sky over the city. The dark shadows that had threatened his home were shattered forever. He had reclaimed his family, his honor, and his daughter's future.
