Chapter 4 - THE WOMAN WHO ERASED A CHILD

Bianca DeLuca was waiting in Adrian's office when he returned.
She wore a fitted cream dress.
Her blonde hair fell over her shoulders.
She smiled when she saw him.
“Adrian, darling.”
He stopped.
For the first time, he noticed how confidently she occupied his space.
His chair.
His desk.
His private office.
As though she already owned it.
“Did you know Elena was pregnant?”
Bianca's smile vanished.
“What?”
Adrian stepped closer.
“Answer me.”
She blinked.
“Adrian, why are you asking me that?”
“Because I have a seven-month-old daughter.”
Bianca stared.
Then laughed nervously.
“That's ridiculous.”
Adrian's expression darkened.
“Be careful.”
She folded her arms.
“Are you sure the baby is yours?”
The question struck him.
Not because he doubted Elena.
Because Bianca had asked it too quickly.
He stared at her.
“Why would you say that?”
Bianca hesitated.
“I just think you should be cautious.”
Adrian remembered the ultrasound envelope.
The messages he never saw.
The appointments Elena claimed he'd ignored.
And suddenly, the pattern became impossible to dismiss.
“Did you interfere with my wife's communications?”
Bianca's face changed.
“Of course not.”
Adrian took out his phone.
“Gabriel.”
His head of security answered immediately.
“Yes, boss?”
“I need a forensic review of my private communications and office access records. Preserve everything.”
Bianca went pale.
“Adrian, this is absurd.”
He looked at her.
“Leave.”
She stared.
“What?”
“Leave my office.”
Her voice rose.
“After everything I've done for you?”
Adrian's eyes hardened.
“You heard me.”
Bianca grabbed her purse.
Then turned at the door.
“Elena has been manipulating you for years.”
Adrian looked at her.
For the first time, he heard the cruelty beneath the sweetness.
May you like
“No,” he said quietly.
“I think I've been listening to the wrong woman.”
