Chapter 4 - THE BRIDE WHO KNEW EVERYTHING

Bianca Falcone arrived at Dante's penthouse the following morning.

She wore an ivory coat.

Her hair was perfectly styled.

Her expression was furious.

“You humiliated me.”

Dante stood beside the windows.

“You're lucky humiliation is all we're discussing.”

Bianca stared.

“What does that mean?”

He placed the photograph on the table.

Her face went white.

“Where did you get that?”

Dante watched her.

“So it's real.”

Bianca said nothing.

He stepped closer.

“Where is my brother?”

She looked away.

“Dante—”

“Where?”

Bianca's eyes filled.

“You don't understand.”

“Then explain.”

She sat down slowly.

“Luca wasn't supposed to be held this long.”

Dante felt cold.

Bianca continued.

“My father arranged the transfer after the fire. Your father paid him to keep Luca hidden.”

“Why?”

“Because Luca knew about the compensation fund.”

Dante stared.

She swallowed.

“When your father died, my family continued receiving payments from the trust.”

Dante's expression hardened.

“And the wedding?”

Bianca closed her eyes.

“It would have merged the remaining accounts.”

He understood.

The marriage wasn't about peace.

It was about control.

Bianca looked up.

“I didn't know my mother would hurt Gemma.”

Dante stared.

“Your mother stabbed her.”

Bianca began crying.

“She panicked.”

Dante laughed bitterly.

“Panicked?”

Bianca reached for him.

“Dante, please. We can fix this.”

He stepped back.

“No.”

She froze.

He looked at her.

“You knew my brother was alive.”

Bianca lowered her eyes.

“And you let me mourn him for eleven years.”

Silence.

Dante turned away.

“Leave.”

Bianca stood.

“You'll destroy everything.”

He looked back.

“No.”

May you like

His voice was quiet.

“I'm going to find out what was destroyed before I inherited it.”
