Christa listened to the findings with a mixture of anger and sadness.

Leo sat beside her.
He didn't interrupt.
Didn't tell her what to feel.
When the meeting ended, Christa looked at him.
“I'm tired.”
He nodded.
“I know.”
She swallowed.
“Not physically.”
He took her hand.
“I know.”
