Victor Sanz was arrested in June.
Investigators uncovered evidence linking him to the fraudulent contracting scheme and the conspiracy surrounding Lorenzo's death.
Several witnesses cooperated.
Ryan's financial crimes became part of a broader prosecution.
The legal proceedings would continue for months.
But the immediate threat had ended.
Aleandro stood beside me when he received the news.
For a long moment, he didn't speak.
Then he sat down.
I approached.
“Are you okay?”
He nodded.
Then shook his head.
“I don't know.”
I sat beside him.
He looked at me.
“For eighteen months, I thought finding the people responsible for Lorenzo's death would fix something.”

“And?”
He looked down.
“It doesn't bring him back.”
I took his hand.
“No.”
He closed his eyes.
I leaned against him.
For a while, we sat quietly.
Then he whispered, “I miss him.”
I squeezed his hand.
“I know.”
And for once, there was nothing to solve.
Nothing to fix.
