Chapter 5 - Bloodline Revealed

Julian felt the room tilt beneath his feet. The paper shook in his grip as the statistical curves and genetic alleles proved what should have been impossible.

"Elena is alive," Julian choked out, tears of shock and fury burning in his eyes.

"Not just alive," Marcus added grimly, pulling up a confidential medical archive on his terminal. "I just ran a background check on the social security number attached to 'Clara Mills' from the domestic agency. It’s an identity issued three years ago through a state medical reconstructive clinic in rural Wisconsin."

Marcus brought up medical intake photos from four years ago.

The woman in the intake photos had suffered third-degree chemical burns to her vocal cords and face, accompanied by severe blunt-force head trauma and amnesia.

"She was found unconscious in a ditch thirty miles outside the city the night of the blizzard," Marcus explained, his voice shaking with medical outrage. "Her C-section wound had been stapled shut with crude surgical clips. Whoever did this wanted her dead, dumped in the freezing mud, and stripped of her identity."

Julian’s fists slammed onto the steel table, denting the metal surface.

"Victoria," Julian growled, the name dripping with lethal vengeance.

"It gets worse," Marcus said, pulling up the signature on Elena's fabricated death certificate from four years ago. "The attending physician who signed Elena’s death declaration and ordered the immediate mortuary cremation was Dr. Arthur Vance—Victoria’s second cousin."

The entire conspiracy crystallized in Julian’s mind with terrifying clarity.

Victoria had orchestrated the abduction the night Elena gave birth. She had drugged Elena, performed a forced premature delivery with her corrupt cousin, faked Elena's death, burned down the morgue wing to erase forensic evidence, and dumped Elena’s broken body in a frozen ditch to die of exposure.

Then, Victoria had walked into Julian’s grieving life with open arms, claiming to be the savior of his motherless boys while plotting to seize the hundred-million-dollar Sterling estate.

Elena had survived the impossible. She had endured surgeries, reclaimed her fragmented memories, and returned in silence—not for wealth, not for revenge, but simply to be near her children as a nameless servant.

"Marcus," Julian said, his voice dropping into the icy calm of a predator ready for the kill. "Contact the FBI Special Operations Task Force and the County Prosecutor. We are going to execute a raid that will bury them all."
