Chapter 14 - THE WORKSHOP THAT ROSE FROM ASHES

Two years after the wedding, I reopened my father's workshop.

Not as a luxury brand.

Not as a monument to wealth.

As a place where young artisans could learn traditional glassmaking techniques.

We called it:

CASA BELLINI – THE LORENZO BELLINI GLASSWORKS.

The original Tre Vite collection became the centerpiece of a small permanent exhibition.

Visitors could see the pieces.

Read about my father's life.

And learn how each glass had been made.

I also established scholarships for students from families who could not afford specialized training.

On opening day, my mother stood beside me.

She wore a simple blue dress.

Her eyes filled with tears when she saw the furnace burning again.

“He would have loved this,” she whispered.

I took her hand.

“I hope so.”

She smiled.

“I know so.”

Adrian attended.

So did Sofia Marin.

Eleanor Grant.

Former workshop employees.

And dozens of people who had known my father.

The room filled with laughter.

Stories.

Memories.

For the first time, the workshop no longer felt like a place where something had ended.

It felt like a place where something new had begun.
