It ends with eight-months-pregnant Charlotte Palmer taking six-year-old Lucas and four-year-old Amelia upstairs after her husband Brandon calmly announces that his mistress, Cynthia Vance, will be moving into the family guest suite.
Brandon expects Charlotte to explode.
Instead, she tells him:
“Actually, Brandon, we’re finished.”
And inside her handbag downstairs, a recorder continues capturing every word.
What Brandon does not know is that Charlotte has been preparing for this night for six weeks.
Not because she knew exactly when he would bring Cynthia home.
